Riyadh, 13 September 2026 – King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company (KAFD DMC), the manager of Riyadh’s premier business and lifestyle destination, announced the opening of Atheel, a new addition to KAFD’s growing hospitality offering. Developed by KAFD DMC and operated by Adeera Hospitality Company with Saudi talent at its core, Atheel reflects the growing capabilities of Saudi professionals in the luxury hospitality sector and further strengthens KAFD’s position as a leading destination for business and leisure.
Atheel KAFD features 214 rooms and suites, alongside a diverse range of dining and hospitality experiences. These include a contemporary restaurant celebrating Saudi flavors from across the Kingdom; Riya Maison, offering French and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine; and Cloud 14, a rooftop lounge and pool overlooking KAFD and the Riyadh skyline. The hotel also features a ballroom, five meeting rooms, and an integrated wellness and fitness center.
KAFD DMC Managing Director John Pagano said: “The Kingdom is expanding its hospitality offering at an unprecedented pace, with tourism set to contribute more than 10% of national GDP by 2030. In a market moving that fast, the opportunity isn’t just to add more rooms, but to build with purpose. Atheel will become an integral part of KAFD’s mixed-use ecosystem, where business, dining, and community come together in one connected district.
“As KAFD attracts global companies and visitors, hotels like Atheel are essential to providing a complete experience within the district. Operated by Saudi talent, Atheel reflects the warmth of Saudi hospitality while meeting the needs of those who work, visit and connect at KAFD. As Riyadh further cements its position as the region’s business capital, Atheel brings together the highest international hospitality standards with an unmistakably Saudi spirit.”
Designed by Foster + Partners, with interiors by Wilson Associates, Atheel KAFD offers convenient access to the district’s offices, residences, retail and cultural destinations. The hotel is also directly connected to the KAFD Metro Station, providing access to destinations across Riyadh and King Khalid International Airport.
The opening of Atheel KAFD further strengthens KAFD’s growing hospitality portfolio, bringing the combined capacity of its operational hotels to more than 630 rooms, including W Riyadh – KAFD and Kimpton KAFD Riyadh. KAFD is also set to welcome a Hilton hotel in the future, adding a further 450 rooms. Together, these offerings provide greater choice for visitors to KAFD and reinforce its position as an integrated destination, while supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s ambitions to grow the Kingdom’s hospitality sector.
